This is one of those scihcorniynty moments I just love. I read about this on Organic Sister but couldn’t comment there, so here I am to say thank you for this post and for all the information about juggling. I couldn’t believe it when I stopped by Organic Sister and the subject was juggling. My kids have a variety of “labels” that include dyslexia and adhd. Last week, my daughter came home from the store with her dad with a set of juggling balls. She was hooked immediately. I looked at her practicing and I saw: Crossing the mid-line, sustained focus, hand-eye coordination…much more, I knew intuitively that this would be an excellent activity for both of my kids (as long as they also found it fun). I hadn’t sat down to do the research yet to confirm my suspicions, but it looks like you’ve done that for me. I may begin homeschooling my daughter in January and I was looking for good activities to do in between lessons that would provide a fun physical outlet that would also help her with focus and CONFIDENCE. Here it is! So…if she sticks with it I will come back for supplies, and I’m sure I’ll blog about it at some point – when I do, I’ll link to you.
